We are now officially in the fall season and our weather in Arkansas couldn't get any better. We've seen highs in the 70s and 80s, and cool overnight lows in the 50s, and even some 40s. Sunshine will rule for the next few days, then a bit of a pattern change is possible next week with slight rain chances back in the forecast.
Arkansas on a Tankful hit two destinations this week. The first, Garvan Woodland Gardens in Hot Springs. It is a beautiful location just outside of downtown Hot Springs, and is very popular for wedding engagements and ceremonies, or people just looking to enjoy a peaceful retreat. Watch FOX16 News At Nine this Thursday for that story. Next week, we head to Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum, also in Hot Springs. Pictures from both locations can be found on the MyPost section of our website.
The Weather Challenge returned to Greenbrier today, and took on third graders from both Westside Elementary School and Wooster Elementary School. The students were a smart bunch, and you can see pictures of the group right here in the slideshow, and teacher Rebekah Stroh who helped us set up the visit.
And on a personal note, I'm continuing my weight gain process. I've settled into my new diet and workout at the gym. I never thought it would be so hard to get over 3,000 calories in each day. But when I think about Michael Phelps and how many calories he consumes, it hardly compares. And now I'm getting more fruit and vegetables in my diet, and my energy level has been affected quite a bit, in a good way. So far I've gained a little over three pounds, on my way to a bigger me!
That's all for now. Enjoy the rest of your work week, and the upcoming weekend!
